Domus Umbria offers you an evening of good Umbrian cuisine. A unique experience of its kind, in a location surrounded by greenery among the Spoleto hills where it will be possible to learn the secrets of traditional Umbrian dishes. 

A real cooking class which, after cooking in a group, will sit around a table as if with family or friends to appreciate the result of the work done accompanied by a lot of sympathy and excellent Umbrian wines in the splendid green setting offered by the surrounding panorama.

Our ambition is to give the foreigner and the wayfarer who lives in a completely different socio-cultural context an indelible and authentic image of our traditions and our history through flavors and sensations, a now utopian way of experiencing human relationships without the need to hold in hand a smartphone that connects us to the world.

This experience is an opportunity to collect and carry with you even once you return to everyday life. A little piece of Umbria to bring back with you in spirit and heart, savoring and experiencing the moment also through what is most precious that our land is able to offer such as truffles and wines.

Thanks to the simplicity and experience of Chef Stefano, you will learn to enrich your culinary background also through the use of the truffle, a product as valuable as it is versatile and precious in its use in the kitchen, capable of transforming a simple dinner with friends on your return at home in an experience of which you will be the undisputed protagonists.

"With Chef Stefano"

In addition to a pleasant walk through the charming alleys of Spoleto and its historical monuments, you’ll dive straight into local life.

We’ll start with a must of Italian social culture: the aperitivo.

Then we’ll stop at a small local grocery store to pick up some fresh ingredients we’ll need for lunch.

Next, we’ll head to my home, just a few minutes from the city center, where we’ll begin our cooking class.
We’ll start with a classic tomato bruschetta, followed by a tasting of burrata topped with freshly shaved black truffle from Norcia.

After these appetizers, it’s time to get our hands into the dough — flour and eggs to make Strengozzi, a traditional egg pasta from Spoleto.

While the pasta rests, we’ll grate plenty of black truffle to prepare the sauce.

To finish, we’ll make a delicious almond flour dessert with a cherry-filled center.

And of course, local wine and water will always be on the table.
